For many years during the 20th and 21st century white color has been a synonym for modern and minimalist design, but there are many traps when deciding to use it as a main tone for your home because it can easily turn it into a dull and cold place to live. Bellow you can read how to choose correct color for your four walls.
Combination of red and black: First thought that comes to many people’s minds when someone mentions this combination is dark and unpleasant atmosphere, but with right ratio of the two combined with white your home can get very elegant touch. Use these two colors to emphasize details in your living room, such as the area above your fireplace or behind the TV. Also, these colors are great for hiding elements of your home that aren’t quite representative. For example, paint the wall next to the entrance door black because majority of people will touch it on their way in and it will get dirty fast.
Purple: If you want to brighten your bedroom and you are afraid that adding any untraditional color will ruin, go with purple. Paint one or two walls in purple and get a dynamic atmosphere in your room.
All other colors: The safest way to add color to your living space is to paint the ceiling in a bright color because it is always in your peripheral vision, so it doesn’t invade the space, but still it creates a different feeling. Still, be careful because this usage of color isn’t recommended for small rooms because it makes it shrink.
